Electrical Engineer with a PhD in Power Systems and extensive experience across the UK energy sector, ranging from distribution network modelling to grid compliance and feasibility studies for utility-scale solar PV and BESS and offshore wind farms.
Currently, I am a Senior Grid Engineer at Pathfinder Clean Energy (PACE) Limited, where I focus on grid integration, connection strategy and technical delivery of renewable projects. My expertise lies at the intersection of power systems, commercial engineering, and data-driven decision-making.
Previously, I worked at the forefront of the Distribution System Operator (DSO) transition. As a Power Systems Development Engineer in UKPN’s Network Access team, I worked on the development of new products and tools for Flexible/Curtailable Connections schemes, enabling customers to connect to the network more quickly and cost-efficiently ahead of reinforcements. I led the development of “Connections Lab”.
Prior to that, at SSEN, I contributed to landmark innovation projects like TRANSITION and LEO. As part of the technical team, I delivered key work packages exploring the future of distribution system planning and the role of forecasting.
Research:
During my PhD, my research was focused on improving the hosting capacity of distribution networks through active network management solutions using power electronic converters, flexibility services, and high-level optimisation.
